It's Mardi Gras- Come Hell or High Water

Apparently.

"BourboCam Live! delivers the French Quarter madness to your desktop!"

Not to be confused with the "KatrinaCam"....

No, not THOSE "Time Bandits"

What were Einstein and Gödel talking about?

Although Gödel was still little known in the world at large, he had a godlike status among the cognoscenti. “I once found the philosopher Richard Rorty standing in a bit of a daze in Davidson’s food market,” Goldstein writes. “He told me in hushed tones that he’d just seen Gödel in the frozen food aisle.”

Well, I Was Wondering Whose Government It Was

Whew! Crossing two things off my "to do" list": Caring. Voting. So glad that Dubya's got my back.

Fabulous Pike Place Market

If you ever come to Seattle, you've got to check it out. Forget the fish-throwing guys and head on over to the giant fighting octopus!

Badger Alert

This time it's for real........

THERE REALLY IS A DOG

This is Warren Remedy; winner Best in Show at the very first Westminster Dog Show. She was a terrier. When I originally posted this, I had a clever comment about paybacks, bitches and some other unkind (albeit true) remarks. I decided to take them away. Life's too short.

Some Of The Best TeeVee

is on IFC. Unfortunately I'm too poor for anything but extended basic cable, so I depend on the generosity of a friend to get my fix.

Art As Commerce

I've been furiously making CD compilations since I got my laptop in August. The problem with iTunes is that you can only publish playlists that contain songs available through them. Sometimes it really screws up the flow because it creates so many holes in your original vision.

A Valentine's Gift

Kind of a clever concept and a big hit when they arrived at work.
The vase looks like a corset.

This is what I see from my living room window.
The title is beginning to make sense, no?

A Million Pardons!

It's actually the set of Days Of Our Lives.......

24 Hours With The Food Network

I fell asleep on the couch last night-watching a granddaughter of Dino DeLaurentiis visiting Venice. Three hours later and the same person was hosting their own cooking show. I just turned on the TV this evening and she (the same person) is visiting the set of All My Children.
Where's the bleepin' food?

The First Post Is Always The Hardest

Geez, I've been struggling with this page for awhile. For some reason it's harder than creating content for an intranet, which I used to do when I had my favorite job of all time. Must be the clunky interface? Doesn't feel too friendly right now.
